Melissa Jo (Hauge) Olson, 45, Of Northwood, Iowa passed away September 16, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood with Pastor Becky Sogge officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, October 7 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Stateline Cemetery. Melissa was born September 21, 1976, to Larry Hauge and Lea-Ann Arnold in Mason City, Iowa. Melissa was the most loving and caring Wife, Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Mother and Grandmother. Melissa graduated from Northwood Kensett High School in 1996. She continued her schooling at Hamilton Collage where she got her associates degree in accounting. Melissa loved spending time with her family whether it’d be having a movie night with extra buttery popcorn, going for rides on the Harley or camping and being outdoors. She is survived by her: husband, Dean Olson; father, Larry Hauge; mother, Lea-Ann Arnold; grandmother, Geraldine Arnold; brothers, Christopher Hauge (Cary Johnson) and Brandon Hauge; daughter, Sidney Hauge (Joe Lister); and grandson, Oliver Lister. Melissa is preceded in death by her: grandfather, Mickey Arnold; grandfather, Kenneth Flatness and grandmother Arlene Flatness.
