Harley Duane Johnson, son of Clarence and Ruth Johnson was born December 14, 1931. He departed his earthly life on February 3, 2023 at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage, Iowa at the age of 91. Harley graduated from Osage High School in 1950. He served a two year enlistment in the U.S. Army before coming home to farm. During that time he started Johnson Chemical Company, which he operated until he retired in 1992. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Clarissa of 65 years and their four children. Denny (Rona) Johnson, Cindee (Bill) Clark, Loni (Dick) Pringnitz, Randi (Laurie) Johnson. Grandchildren Tina Cordes (Annie Belle), Amy (Gabe) May, Eric (Erin) Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Katelyn (Justin) Opitz and Megan Pringnitz. Great Grandchildren Marcus, Keagen, Mya and Ashtyn Cordes, Hadley, Brylee and Bowen May and Eli Johnson. His sisters Mildred Sponheim and Sharon (Jim) Boyce. Harley was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Matthew Milbrandt and 5 brothers Dale, Charles, Ivan, Kenneth, and Keith Johnson and 4 sisters Florence Borcherding, Margaret Olsen, Carol McLaughlin, Eleanor Schallock and two infant siblings. Per Harley's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at a later date. Champion Funeral Home 641-732-3706
