Lori Cimmiyotti, 58, passed away on Friday, February 5 at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center. She went peacefully while surrounded by the people who loved her most. Lori (Priem) Cimmiyotti was born on March 21, 1962 to Arthur and Sara Priem. She attended St. Ansgar Schools and graduated with the class of 1980. Four months after her high school graduation, she married the love of her life, and high school sweetheart, Glenn Cimmiyotti. To this union, 3 children were born-Amber, Cari, and Logan. Glenn and Lori just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on September 20. Lori worked at Bawek Shoe & Clothing for 15 years before purchasing the business and running it for an additional 15 years. At the time of her passing she was employed by the St. Ansgar State Bank with a job she absolutely loved. They went above and beyond by supporting her through her journey. For the past 12 years, Lori battled multiple myeloma (a type of blood cancer). While this cancer took many things from her, she never lost her fight. You never once heard her complain or ask, "Why me?" She did not let this cancer take away from the things she loved the most – her 3 children, her 8 grandchildren, watching any and all Saints athletic games, and her love of shopping. Lori is survived by her husband, Glenn Cimmiyotti, children Amber & Rob Sherrard, Cari & Tyler Johanns and Logan & Jenna Cimmiyotti, her 8 grandchildren Aubrey, Brayli & Scarlett Sherrard, Trey, Carter, Ciara & Tiara Johanns and Brynn Cimmiyotti, sister Joanne & Dave Westrem, father-in-law Gordy Cimmiyotti & Sandy Nelson, sisters-in-law Corky & Steve Follmuth, Nita & Al Hinrickson, Lynn & Harlan Hobbs, brother-in-law Justin & Angela Cimmiyotti, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Sara and Arthur Priem, step father Wayne Ritter, brother Ronald Priem, sister Donna Kirchgatter, and mother-in-law Sharon Cimmiyotti. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at Schroeder & Sites in St. Ansgar from 4:00-7:00. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 10 at 10:30 at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville. It will also be live streamed on Facebook at www.facebook.com/raymond.burkle. Burial will be held at the Priem Cemetery at a later date. All current COVID-19 precautions will be enforced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the St. Ansgar Saints Booster Club or the Mayo Clinic for Multiple Myeloma research.
