Gary Lee Tidemanson, 77, Passed away Monday, August 3rd, peacefully in his sleep at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage, Iowa. Gary was born on September 2, 1942 in Mitchell County, Iowa, to Francis (Jack) and Zella Tidemanson. He lived in the surrounding counties his whole life. Gary graduated from Carpenter High School, and attended Mankato Business School. He worked for White Farm Equipment and Hormel prior to retiring. His favorite days were spent on tractor rides/shows, driving John Deere’s of course, going to sale yards, and spending time with his grandkids. Favorite vacations were to Canada and northern MN fishing, as well as two Alaska cruises. He was a lifetime member of the Cedar Valley Engine Club. Gary was always willing to visit those that couldn’t get out, and lend a hand to anyone in need. He is survived by his sisters Judy Wambeam and Karen Rodemaker (Steve Hyer); four children, Sherry Lokken (Dave), Eric, Aaron (Carrie), and Adam; 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Andy, Katie, Dan, Zella, Reagan and Kayden; one great granddaughter, Maya; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Francis (Jack) Tidemanson and Zella Tidemanson Boggess, brother Carl, sister-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law Roger Wambeam and Fred Rodemaker, and step father Wendell Boggess. His ashes will be driven by son, Aaron, on his favorite tractor (36 Model A John Deere) to the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell on August 8th.
