November 26, 1938 - December 3, 2024
William “Bill” Koeff, age 86, of Osage, peacefully entered Heaven on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage. Bill was born November 26, 1938, in Osage, Iowa, the son of Veleko and Nettie (Keroff) Koeff. He graduated from Osage High School in 1958. He proudly served in the US National Guard Army Reserve from 1958-1964. On June 25, 1961, Bill married the love of his life, Bette (Kramer) Koeff of Austin, MN. Bill was a farmer in the New Haven area and also worked many years at White Farm Equipment in Charles City until its closing. He then worked for Fox River Mills in Osage, retiring at age 70. Bill was a faithful member and a long-time usher of Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage. Bill’s life was filled with many enjoyments including searching for and staying in touch with his Bulgarian ancestry and family members, visits with surrounding farm neighbors, gardening and tending to his beautiful grove, fruit and yard trees, and large yard, collecting toy farm equipment and attending auctions, and years of caring for his beloved Bassett hounds. Most important to Bill was his best friend and partner in life, Bette. He cherished their four children, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He enjoyed attending their school events and took great pride and interest in what they were doing. Bill will be remembered by many for his genuine kindness and caring gentle nature shown to everyone in his life. Bill is survived by his wife, Bette; his daughters, Suzanne (Rick) Sletten of Osage and Michelle Koeff of Ankeny; his sons, Daniel Koeff of Osage and Kurt (Jenny) Koeff of Greenfield, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Sarah (Devon) Murray of Charles City, Mareah (Torey) Stallsmith of Polk City, Rebekah (Michael) Barr of Des Moines, Noah Sletten of Cedar Falls, and Tanner Koeff of Altoona; great-grandchildren, Marron Murray, Jack Murray, Clint Murray, Alexander Koeff, Athena Koeff and Thomas Stallsmith; and his younger brother Tony (Virginia) Koeff of Janesville.
