Betty Jean Lindberg, 86, of Northwood, Iowa, died on September 25, 2023 at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Northwood. The family will have a private service at a later date. Betty was born on March 14, 1937 in Webster city, Iowa to Louis and Bertha (Davidson) Ostbloom. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School, Fort Dodge, Iowa. Betty married Paul Paine on March 4, 1956 at the Fort Dodge Lutheran Church and later married Larry Lindberg on November 1, 1986. Betty was a member of the Lutheran Church, various card groups and a square dancing group. Her interests included painting, playing cards, boating, dancing, camping, making the best scothcharoos, and gatherings with friends. She loved spending time with her 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Bertha Ostbloom; bothers Charles Ostbloom, Bob Ostbloom and Elmer Ostbloom; one sister, Marie Oppedahl; husband Paul Paine; husband Larry Lindberg; son-in-law David Johnson. She is survived by a son, Jim Paine of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughters, Teresa Johnson of Northwood, Iowa, Kathy (Tim) Sinek of Gilbert Arizona, Paula (Troy) Lohrmann of McHenry, Illinois; grandchildren, Matt (Morgan) Johnson, Jason (Crystal) Johnson, Jessica (Dave) Reyerson, Jeni (Santana) Marquez, Sondra (Tyson) Finks, Samantha Lohrmann and Tyler Lohrmann; great grandchildren, Jaxon and Makayla Reyerson; Caleb, Aubrey and Sadie Johnson; Vivi Jensen, Valerie Johnson and Lincoln Finks.

I have a lot of good memories from the days on the farm and growing up with the Paine kids! Paul was larger than life and Betty was a sweet soul! My prayers are with you all during this time!

To the Paine Family, My heart breaks for you all. Momma Betty was one in a million. I will never forget all the fun we had at the farm and in town running around . You have all played a special part of my life as did Paul and Betty. I just want you to know that she will forever be remembered. Fly High Betty. Love you
