June 3, 1990 - September 22, 2023
Danielle Elizabeth (Reddel) Funte, age 33, of Stacyville, Iowa, tragically passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, from a car accident . Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 , at the Riceville Community Center in Riceville with Pastor Mathis Wolberg officiating. Burial will be in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Riceville. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Riceville Community Center and one hour prior to the service. Danielle was born June 3, 1990, to Dean and Lisa (Smith) Reddel. She was born 4 days before her mother’s birthday; she was the most perfect birthday gift a mother could want. Danielle was the oldest of 4 children, and the only daughter. She grew up in Riceville, Iowa and graduated from Riceville High School in 2009. Following graduation, she worked different jobs until she found her true passion for taking care of others by becoming a certified nursing assistant at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center. Danielle was the proud mother of precious boys, Noah (12) and Mason (10). She was united in marriage to Edward Funte on October 20, 2018, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Riceville, Iowa. She was a true light in the world, making friends wherever she went and touching the lives of all who knew her. She had such a big heart with so much love to give, which she showed every day to the residents she cared for, to her family and friends, and to especially her boys, who were her world. Danielle was always known to be more of a “Tomboy” and never a “girly girl”. She particularly enjoyed horseback riding, snowmobiling, hunting, and caring for her many animals, especially her dog, Puppers and her horse, Apache. She was a free spirit and always lived in the moment. She had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She will be greatly missed by so many, but greatly by her two boys. Danielle is survived by her sons: Noah and Mason of Stacyville, her husband Eddie of Stacyville, and his daughters Brianna and Heather; her parents: Dean Reddel of Riceville and Lisa (LeRoy) Bergstrom of Rochester, MN.; her brothers: Jordan (Britany) and niece Callie of St. Ansgar, Colton (Bobbi) Reddel of Riceville, and Dalton (Desirae) and nephew Dean and niece Viola of Riceville; grandparents: Larry and Jane Smith of Riceville, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Danielle is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Debbie Smith; paternal grandparents, Eldon and Viola Reddel; cousin, Austin Geerts; and Eddie’s parents, Edward Funte Sr. and Carol Peters.
