Thomas Edward Faber, 68, of Kensett, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at MercyOne North Iowa in Mason City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manly with Father Neil Manternach officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 21 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. With a Rosary at 3:45 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home at 1211 10th St S in Northwood. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Tom was born on September 15, 1952 to Fred and Helen (Scholl) Faber in Mason City. He was baptized at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell and was confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manly. He graduated from North Central High School in 1970. Then attended NIACC. Tom's first marriage was to Sue Schmalholz, and to this union a son was born, Justin. They later divorced. Tom remarried Irene "Blondie" Schipper on March 28, 1998 in Clarion at the United Methodist Church. Tom was a farmer for most of his life. Tom enjoyed eating, he was a great omelet maker, playing cards, including cribbage, motorcycle rides with friends and tractor rides. In Texas he enjoyed the activities such as organizing the cribbage tournament, refereeing the shuffleboard tournament while wearing an official shirt with a whistle. Tom is survived by his: wife, Irene of Kensett; son, Justin (Beth) of Kensett; step children, Jason (Chantelle) Rollene of Northwood, Melissa (Corey) Acheson of Grinnell, Ryan (Amy) Rollene of Kensett; grandchildren, Kaleob Rollene, Kinlee Rollene, Gabe Rollene, Keaton Rollene, Ava Rollene, Presley Rollene, Maveryk Rollene, Dylan Sporaa, Ethan Rollene, Bradan Schoopman, Jackson Faber, Brynlee Faber, Ivy (Ben) Marwedel, Gideon Rollene, Treycen Rollene and Ashlynn Rollene; great grandchildren, Eden and Ja'siah; mother, Helen Faber of Manly; sister, Bev Faber; nieces and nephews; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda (Russ) Wibben, Verlyn (Janie) Schipper, and LuAnn (Wayne) Green; and many friends. Tom was proceeded in death by his: father, Fred; and niece, Sara Miller.
