Jerry E. Arndt, 62 of Osage, IA, passed on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his home. A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the V.F.W Post 7920 in Osage. Family has requested that those attending dress casual and if you have KISS or Vikings clothing to please wear. Jerry was born March 14, 1959 in Charles City, IA to Gerald R. and Mary (Usher) Arndt. He lived in and went to school in Osage, graduating from Osage High School in 1977. Jerry started working at Wallace in 1978 in the shipping and receiving warehouse until his passing. He enjoyed KISS concerts, attending 30 + live concerts, Minnesota Vikings, fishing, racing, talking on the phone, storm chasing, coaching, old man softball and anything related to his two kids. Jerry’s famous chocolate cake was a Arndt Family tradition. He was a member of the KISS Army, Minnesota Vikings Fan Club and The Historical Construction Equipment Club. Jerry is survived by his children, Jordan (Felicia Bredeson) Arndt of Mason City and Jaelyn Arndt of Austin, Texas; his parents, Gerald and Jean Arndt; brother, Dave (Arlene) Arndt of Forest City and their children, Megan (Evan) Cooling of North Liberty and Tyler (Cori) Arndt; brother, Doug (Dee) Arndt of Stockton, Illinois and their children, Michael and Zach; sister, Laura (Kevin) Schafer of Greene and their children, Kaya (Tuli Leota) Schafer, JoAnna (Isaac Frentz) Schafer and Gerod Schafer. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Usher) Arndt in 1991 and his grandparents, Leona and Otto Arndt and Gladys and Clinton Usher.

I'm so sorry to hear about Jerry. I had no idea he'd passed. Was looking through the obits for Osage and was totally shocked to see his picture. I used to work at Wallas with him and we always had a great time. I used to brink chocolate chip muffins for him, and he always enjoyed them! He was such a fun man to work with and be around. Will miss him dearly. God Bless his children and all his family. RIP Jerry Gone but never forgotten.
