She graduated from high school in Glenville, MN. Darla married Dean A. Beighley, December 9, 1961, and later divorced. This union brought them one daughter, Kelly Jean (Beighley) Akemann. She was self taught and very talented at the piano, guitar and accordion. She enjoyed embroidering, cooking, puzzles, coloring and especially baking. She was infamous for some of her goodies, like fudge, homemade donuts, rhubarb cake, jelly rolls, and any cookie she baked was heavenly. Darla had a great sense of humor and her laughter would fill a room and everyone’ s heart in the room. She loved joking with everyone, especially the great grandchildren. Darla was a fun lady! I remember visiting Aunt Billie, Darla’s Mom. When they lived right next door to each other. Going to the wonderful collection of dolls that Aunt Billie sewed doll clothes for. I was told Kelly received all the doll collection!!! What a treasure! Seeing Darla over the years at the Anderson family reunions…always lots of laughter ❤️ May all your happy memories help you with your loss.
