Mary Jane was born February 6, 1927, at home on a farm near Carpenter, Iowa. The daughter of Carl and Nettie (Halverson) Stromley. She attended country school up to 8th grade. On October 27, 1946, she married Jurn Frank Rieman at Eden Presbyterian Church. Mary Jane Rieman was a member of Eden Presbyterian Church. Mary Jane worked in the factory during the World War II drying eggs for the boys in the service. She worked in the Brick & Tile in Mason City, Hanson’s Grocery Store in Rudd, Fox River Mills in Osage. From 1976 until 1989, she managed motels with Jurn. She worked at Hoover Hatchery in Rudd after retiring. She enjoyed dancing with Jurn and watching him bowl. She enjoyed watching her children in sports along with other activities and spending time with her family. She was a Hawkeye sports fan. She has nothing but fond memories of her childhood and the love for her family. Mary Jane was a hugger and loved everyone. She has been given the compliment of being most like her mother. Mary Jane is survived by her children: Dennis Rieman (Bonny Derr) of Garner, Delmer and Kris (Hanson) Rieman of Newell, Douglas Rieman of Newell, Candace (Russell Demaray) Eimers of Charles City; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-children; one great-great-grandchild. Sisters: Lillian Warrington, Betty (David) Tollefson and Diane Petznick. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jurn Rieman, son Darwin Rieman, son Donnie Rieman; her parents; three brothers, Orville Stromley, Carl Jr Stromley and Kenneth Stromley; seven sisters, Loretta Hoffland, Ruth Patterson, Louise McPhail, infant Mary Jane Stromley, Rose Riekow, Gladys Groth and Inez Hommez. Our deepest sympathy to the family, we will miss Jane. Everytime we came home for a visit Jane gave us a huge hug and when we left and many hugs inbetween. Jane is in our thoughts and our prayers for the family.
