Graveside Service

Lillian E. Loland, Toeterville, Iowa passed away on November 7, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Center in St.Ansgar. Lillian Seuser was born in Gordonsville, MN on October 8, 1926 the daughter of Wendell (Pat) and Evelyn Seuser. She graduated from Northwood High School, earned a teacher certificate and taught four years in Minnesota and Iowa rural schools and five years at Otranto teaching elementary grades. She married Stanley Loland in Northwood on April 16, 1948 and they had three daughters and lived most of their married life in Toeterville. Lillian was with the St. Ansgar Schools for 21 years, 8 years at Carpenter as a teacher's aide and math teacher and 13 years at Grafton Middle School as a Chapter 1 teacher. She was a long time active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and served as the organist for many years and directed the junior choir. Lil enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, having coffee with her Toeterville neighbors, and traveling with her daughters. She will be remembered for her many jokes and her homemade buns. A private graveside service was held at the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood. She is survived by her three daughters Chris (Gailen) Hauck, Leola, SD and her children Josh (Christin) Heiden, Rochester, MN and Jessica (Bobby) Dennis, Alpheretta GA; Kathy Millard, Garner, IA and her children Kelsey Millard, Clear Lake, Lisa (Colby)Dye, Iowa City, Joey Millard, Los Angeles, CA and Mikah Millard, Ames, IA; Kim Mogk, Grafton, IA and her children Samantha (Jimmy) Prince, Mason City, IA, Randy (Raedel)Mogk, St. Ansgar, IA, and Bowen Peterson, Omaha, NE; 9 great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Ardis Hanson and Margaret (Lyle) Krumm, Northwood, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, in 2006, her parents Wendell and Evelyn Seuser, and her sister, Irma Perkins.
