Cleo and Ray were wonderful friends for many years in Ames, When the first produce of her garden came in the summer, I looked forward to being a recipient of her cucumbers and various types of squash. She was a good friend who was loved by many at Memorial Lutheran. She talked often about the St. Ansgar area and her many fond memories which involved her relatives who were located there. Deep sympathies to each of you who mourn her passing. We know she is awaiting the glorious resurrection on that last day when Christ returns. Blessings to all of you. Jeanette

I worked at the Memorial Union during the years that Cleo and Ray were there. They were remarkable people! Cleo was such a worker, so knowledgeable in her field. As an Ames high school student, I worked banquets under Cleo and learned how to serve and observed what complex undertakings serving large groups were. The picture of her on this website made me smile - you can see her sweetness. The MU was certainly a better place for her long years of conscientious service. Both Cleo and Ray are remembered very, very fondly. I was glad to read that she was cared for at Good Samaritan - after so many years of caring for others, it was certainly her turn.
