James Schaub, 79, of Northwood died peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Services are being planned for a later date next spring. Jim was born on February 17, 1944 to Earl and Margaret (Wright) Schaub in Mason City, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed in the Northwood United Methodist Church. He graduated from Northwood High School. Jim lived in Northwood most of his life. He farmed, worked in a meat packing plant, and was a carpenter. Jim was united in marriage to Lynne Becker, and to this union two children were born, Matthew and Heather. They later divorced and Jim married Carol. He is survived by his: two children, Matthew Schaub and Heather Brown; grandchildren, Kimberly Brown, Katherine White, Samantha Brown; one great-grandson, Nolan; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his: mother and father; wife, Carol; siblings Ruth Robb, Roger Schaub in infancy, Russell Schaub, and Kenneth Schaub.
