John Steven Greeley, 79, of Osage, Iowa passed away on March 8, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. John was born in Riceville, Iowa on May 23, 1944. The son of William and Gladys (Wagner) Greeley. He graduated in 1962 from Riceville High School. John was employed by Kollman Quarries in Osage and then worked for and retired from L.R. Falk Construction of St. Ansgar. John enjoyed bowling, camping, golfing, trap shooting, and watching game shows and westerns. John met his future wife, Bev Brown and they married on May 21, 1966 in Johnsburg, MN. Proud parents of Melissa (Raymond) Garvey of Stratford, IA, and Mark (Kelly) Greeley of Mason City, IA. Grandchildren Jonathan Garvey, Dawson Greeley and Joella Greeley. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James and Richard Greeley and step-father Ray β€œDoc” Jacbous, In-laws Arthur and Rosella Brown. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the VFW, 3693 US Highway 218 North, Osage, Iowa. Schroeder Funeral Homes, Osage, 641-732-3706
