Dolores Joan (Markfort) Goche, 91, of Osage, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, surrounded by her family at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center. She was born on January 19, 1933, in Glendorado, Minnesota, to Anna M. (Ruhman) and Joseph F. Markfort. Dolores completed the 10th grade in 1948 and went on to graduate from business school. Dolores held various positions in sales and business administration and worked at the hospital in Osage until her retirement. She was a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart Guild. Dolores loved to play cards, especially spades, and when family and friends visited you could count on playing a few hands. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, fishing, and reading. Dolores was always working on a different jigsaw puzzle and appreciated when visitors helped find a place for at least one piece. On July 18, 1951, she married Raymond H. Goche, in Duelm, Minnesota, and they were together for 61 years at the time of his death. They welcomed 14 children. Dolores cherished her time with them, her 32 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was steadfast in her faith, devoted to her family, and proud of all their accomplishments. Dolores is survived by her children, Allen Goche (Jan) of Humboldt; Jeanette Hanna (Paul) of Ankeny; Rita Goche of Lancaster, Ohio; Chuck Goche (Jane) of Des Moines; Steve Goche (Ann) of Proctor, Ark.; Jeff Goche of New Haven; Marcia Mork (Larry) of Osage; Joan Akers of Ames; Pat Goche (Julie) of Minneapolis; Monica Lewis (Cameron) of Ames; Pete Goche (Monica Gillen) of Ames; Jolene Dodge (Keith) of Blooming Prairie; Christina Wright (Rob) of Huxley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and their daughter, Donna Goche. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Zita McCall and Eulalia Markfort and brothers Lonzo, Clare, Francis, Paschel, Oswald, and Hilary. A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, July 1, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Rev. Raymond A. Burkle officiating. Burial will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mass Intentions in Dolores’ memory. Champion Funeral Home of Osage is assisting the family with arrangements. Our prayers are with surviving family members and also with Delores and Raymond. Melvin knew Ray and Delores when he lived in Bancroft until 1962 and both he and Priscilla always enjoyed the friendly visits with them, even though not often. May Delores rest in peace. She is now with her loving husband in the arms of Jesus.

To all the memories cramming everyone into the 57 Chev wagon. Helping on the farm (or getting in the way). On visits. Hid and seek in the big yellow house. Getting a text unexpected but always great to get
