On Friday, January 22, 2021 David DeWayne Slindee loving husband and father of two children passed away at the age of 59 from his battle with Cancer. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. On Saturday, January 30 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lyle, MN. A visitation will be held Friday, January 29 from 4 – 7:00 at Champion Funeral Home in Osage, IA. Burial will be at Six Mile Grove Cemetery, Rural Lyle. David was born on August 20, 1961 to Virgil and Mary Slindee in Osage, IA. Dave went to school in Lyle and graduated with the Class of 79. He then studied Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics at Vo-Tech (Albert Lea) graduating in the top of his class. Dave worked with his father at Slinde Septics and drove trucks with several companies over 38 years, lastly for J.R. Ransom. Dave enjoyed many hobbies from wood working, truck & tractor pulls, to pool league and more, but most of all riding motorcycle with Elizabeth as well as with his children and grandchildren. Dave and Liz have been together since December 3, 2010. Dave is preceded in death by his father Virgil and brother Michael. Dave is survived by his: wife, Elizabeth; mother, Mary Lou; children, Christopher (Iris) and Ashley (Daniel); grandchildren, Nya, Nea, Arianna, McKennah, and Zayleen; brother, Virgil (Sarah); sisters Joanne and Linda; many nieces, nephews, and his extended Clark Family.
